Get read for game day or head to your next tailgate party with these great instant post recipes! Instant Pot makes it easy to cook up a delicious meal in a short amount of time. We have gathered 45 of the greatest game day and tailgating Instant Pot Recipes to help you plan your next party menu!

You already know how much we love our Instant Pot (this is the one we have). We make Instant Pot dinners and Instant Pot breakfastsand even Instant Pot Desserts. Also in our collection of Instant Pot recipes are Weight Watchers Instant Pot meals and Paleo Instant Pot Meals as we attempt to find gluten and dairy free recipes for Bob’s dietary restrictions. We typically use our Instant Pot a minimum of 2 nights every week for dinner. The thing that I like the most about the IP is how quickly it cooks the food (on pressure cooker mode), yet you don’t lose any flavor or quality. Quite the contrary, actually. The meals that we have had in the Instant Pot have come out savory and packed full of flavor.

Last year, I suggested taking our Instant Pot on our big Yellowstone road trip and at first, I’m pretty sure Bob thought I was nuts. We already had a crock pot, electric griddle and a toaster oven in the camper and he was pretty sure we didn’t need one more appliance in the cupboards. I was pretty sure he was WRONG as I suggested that with an Instant Pot, we could have a delicious home cooked meal after a long day of driving that would cook while we unhitched the camper. He gave in and after our first night on the road and one very delicious Instant Pot pot roast, we both agreed that the IP was going to be a camper staple!

For this newest installment of Instant Pot recipes, I turned to our frequent parties and tailgates and have collected many favorite game day dishes, in various varieties. These would work well for parties and sporting events. (Professional or even at your kids’ events – we love a good horse show tailgate!).

How much does Instant Pot reduce cooking time? ›

Does The Instant Pot Really Save Time? According to my research, pressure cooking can cook most foods in 1/3 less time than other cooking methods and even up to 10 times faster! The steam pressure inside the pressure cooker cooks food much, much more rapidly than just boiling or baking food.

How do you slow cook in Pioneer Woman Instant Pot? ›

Press the "Slow Cook" button to select the slow cooking function. Set the cooking time and temperature. The Instant Pot has three temperature settings for slow cooking: low, medium, and high. Use the "Adjust" button to choose the temperature and then use the "+" and "-" buttons to adjust the cooking time.

Are Instant Pots safe for your health? ›

Cooking in an “instant pot” or pressure cooker is a great method for preparing your food on many levels — including the nutritional level, according to registered dietitian Beth Czerwony, RD. “Instant pot recipes are absolutely healthy as long as what you put in the recipe is healthy,” she says.

How long do you pressure cook meat for? ›

For example, cook a 2-pound pot roast at high pressure for 40 minutes and a 3-pound pot roast for 60 minutes. Frozen beef: I highly recommend thawing your beef for this recipe, since you cannot sear the frozen beef. If you must use frozen beef, assume 30 minutes per pound.

What happens if you overfill a pressure cooker? ›

A pressure cooker shouldn't be more than 2/3rds full. With liquids, avoid filling more than half full. Overfilling leads to food being ejected from the pressure release valve – a messy business. If this does happen, you'll need to take apart and clean the parts thoroughly.

What is the secret to a perfect roast? ›

The secret to making tender roast beef:

It's all about cooking low and slow. With a cut of meat like this, a longer cook time will give you better, more tender results. Ideally, all roasted meats would be seared on all sides in a hot skillet to develop a golden, delicious crust.

Can you use an instapot as a crockpot? ›

While you can use the slow cooker setting with the standard Instant Pot lid (set to vent), you'll get better results when you use a tempered glass lid with a stainless steel rim—find it on Amazon for under $20.

Can you leave food in a pressure cooker overnight? ›

It's not a good idea to leave food in a pressure cooker overnight. In theory, they are designed to work unattended. Some may even advertise that you can throw in the ingredients and forget about it, implying that you can walk away and let the cooker do its thing. Yet doing so can be unsafe in certain situations.

What are the settings on a Crockpot slow cooker? ›

Most slow cookers have two slow cooker temperature settings. The 'Low' cook setting reaches temperatures between 164-182°F (reaching a peak of around 205°F after 4 hours). Wondering what temperature is 'High' on a Crockpot slow cooker? The 'High' cook setting tops off at around 205°F after cooking for 4 hours.

How do you use a slow cooker? ›

Just plug in your slow cooker, add your chosen recipe's ingredients, set the cooker to low or high, depending on the recipe's instructions, add the lid and let it cook. Once your dish is done cooking, you can either switch the slow cooker off to turn off the heating element, or warm if you're not ready to enjoy it yet.

What is the temperature of a slow cooker? ›

Slow cookers or crock pots can safely cook food. The slow cooker, a countertop appliance, cooks foods slowly at a low temperature -- generally between 170 °F (76.7 °C) and 280 °F (137.8 °C). The low heat helps less expensive, leaner cuts of meat become tender and shrink less.
